Cui Ruzhuo  崔如琢 was born in Beijing  China.

 

 

 

He studied with the painter and calligraph Li Kuchan.

 

 

1981

After teaching at the Academy of Arts and Design Arts, he moved to the United States.

 

 

1990

He returned to China..

   
 

His landscapes paintings made with fingers, and his recent auction records brought  

  him fame.
 

His ink-on-paper The Grand Snowing Mountainous Jiangnan Landscape, ( a series of  eight

 

panels depicting a snowy landscape, broke records for a living Asian artist :

 

( sold $30 million at Poly action HK )

   

2007

The private Cui Ruzhuo Museum, with a hundred works from the artist's collection

 

 was created in Beijing.

   

2013

The Yoko Museum Foundation opened in November 11, in Ito city, Shizuika,

 

The Cui Ruzhuo Art Museum, the first Chinese museum in Japan.
