born in Jinan, Shandong Province, China.

other one from the Normal School of Qufu.

began to work together under the name of Gao brothers 高氏兄弟

installations, performances, photographs, sculptures and writings.
|
| |

| |
Their
inflatable installation Midnight Mass, a real challenge, made them famous to the world.

On 10.09, they realized their first performance by inviting 150
volunteers, strangers

to each other, to choose a random person for a 20 minutes hug : The Utopic Hugging

at Galerie Urs Meile in Beijing yesterday,asked about

his situation. Ai told us he still failed to get his passport...
|
|
| |
We had been unable to get our passports, not allowed
|
|
| |
to go abroad for more than ten years since 1989, so
|
|
| |
we know how terrible it is for him without his passport.
|
|
| |
Again, let's strongly call for Chinese authorities to return
|
|
| |
Ai Weiwei's passport, allow him to travel freely as soon
|
|
| |
as possible.
