Liu Bolin 劉勃麟 was born in Shandong Province, China.
|

He received a Bachelor in Art ( sculpture department ), University of Arts Jinan
|

in Shandong,
|
|
|
He taught sculpture.
|
| |
|
|
2000
|
He went to study at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, in Beijing.
|
| |
|
|
2001
|
He graduated with a Master, from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing.
|
|
|
|
|
2005
|
The sight of his razed workshop in Suojia Cun, inspired his first photo: a portrait
|
| |
of himself, painted among the rubble.
|
|
|
This was the beginning of a long series of photos of a performance: Hide in the City
|
| |
which made him internationally known.
|
| |
|
| |
The artist traveled to Italy, China, France, and United States, to blend in with the
|
| |
scenery he found. |
| |
|
|
|
He lives and works in Beijing China.
|
|
